{31:17} O my son! Keep up prayer and enjoin the good and forbid the evil, and bear patiently that which befalls you; surely these acts require courage;

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny) extensively emphasized the importance of "al-amr bi al-ma‘rūf wa al-nahy ‘an al-munkar" (enjoining good and forbidding evil), describing it as a fundamental duty for individuals and a pillar for the well-being of the entire Muslim nation. And then (in that case) when you pray, your invocations will not be granted to you." He also warned that if people abandon this duty, "the evil people among them will take charge over them and when they supplicate, they will not be answered."
